Description: A species of spruce native to western North America , where it is one of the rarest in the continent, endemic to the Klamath Mountains of southwest Oregon and northwest California. Pendulous branches have a curtain-like appearance; bluish foliage.
Basic Care: It prefers light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils and can grow in nutritionally poor soil.The plant prefers acid and neutral soils. and can grow in very acid soils. It cannot grow in the shade.It requires moist soil.The plant can tolerates strong winds but not maritime exposure.
