Dwarf Hinoki Cypress (Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Nana')
Zones: USDA Zones 4 to 8.
Description: Dwarf Hinoki Cypress is a slow-growing dwarf that may rise to only 9" tall over the first 10 years. It will eventually mature over time to a flat-topped but irregular bun rising to 2-3' tall with a slightly larger spread. Fan-shaped, fine-textured, bright green foliage holds its color well. Great for bonsai and rock gardens.
Basic Care: Easily grown in average, medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. Best in full sun. Prefers moist, fertile soils. Avoid wet, poorly-drained soils. Shelter from wind.
