We offer a complete line of bonsai pots, bonsai tools, bonsai wire, bonsai soil, bonsai trees, pre-bonsai plants, and authentic Japanese chimes. Wee Tree started over 20 years ago growing bonsai and selling them at a local nursery and out of a back yard. Our first importing and wholesaling experience was from Japan and consisted of a couple pallets of bonsai pottery. Now, we import full containers, several times a year, from Japan, China and Korea and offer a wide variety of products.
During the winter months, we offer field grown bare root bonsai with large trunks and recently we starting adding specimen bonsai to our website. Visit us at our retail store located at Garland Nursery in Corvallis, Oregon. Click here for directions.
If you are a business, please contact us about wholesale pricing.
What's New for May
We will be closed Monday, May 28 in observance of Memorial Day. Shipping will resume Tuesday, May 29. Have a safe Holiday.
Dear Friends,
(3/28) Our recent shipment of akadama from Japan was held up by the United States Department of Agriculture for an inspection. They found organic material in the akadama such as root fibers and will not allow the shipment in. It has to be destroyed or returned. This is a shipment from the well-known manufacturer of double red line brand akadama. It remains to be seen whether it will ever be clean enough for the USDA to allow it to be imported again.
We are researching options for replacement products. Kiryu is one possibility. It is like akadama only harder. Dave DeGroot, curator of the Pacific Rim Bonsai Collection uses Kiryu in his soil mix. Some people use Turface as an akadama substitute and some use bark.
We recently added 6 green plastic training pots to our Plastic Bonsai Pots section.
Check out these 5 high quality Chinese bonsai pots at wholesale prices, or 50% off retail: 5920, 5922, 5925, 5927, and 5928. These pots are great for small bonsai or companion plants.
